Ascension : News From St Mary's Church
Submitted by The Islander (Clive & Jenny Duncan) 05.11.2009 (Article Archived on 19.11.2009)

LOVING IS GIVING. A big thank you to all who brought gifts for the Harvest Festival on Sunday last.

They will be sent to our sister Island of St. Helena and will go a little way to help and bring joy to those who are less fortunate than us.

What we do know is that God loves the kind of giver who gives freely.  If we love God and if we are really concerned for others as a result of our love for God, we need not be reminded about our giving, it should happen spontaneously.  God longs for people, who love him, to share what he has given them with others who are in need.

May we continue to be a loving and caring community and be generous in our giving.

Love and prayers.

Canon Clive.
