I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the following people for helping me out on Sunday 4th October when it was Daniel’s birthday;

To Christabelle & Crocky for helping tidy up at the end.

To Mike for doing the man jobs – starting the generator and being in charge of the BBQ.

To Alison for the loan of her man, as mine is away and for tidying up.

To Teresa for the wonderful cake.

I, like so many, am tracing my family tree. My great great gandmother, Isabella Hutton, was shipwrecked on Ascension Island in the early 1860s when she was about four. My father has a prayer book given to Isabella by the parson on the island at the time. I have just discovered that two of her sisters were actually born on the island between 1862 and 1864.  The parents were named Hutton - the mother was Agnes. Would anyone have any information? What would have been the ship and where was it travelling to/from? Kind regards, Clive.
