Ascension : Au Revoir From The Harris's
Submitted by The Islander (Islander Internet Editor) 01.10.2009 (Article Archived on 15.10.2009)

Where did that year go? They say time flies when you're having fun and that's exactly what we've had on this wonderful Island of Ascension with it's fantastic people.

After two and a half years spent on The Falklands we looked forward to the warmer climes of this South Atlantic Island and haven't been disappointed in taking part in the 'outdoor' life.

We've enjoyed our association with The Heritage Society, Golf Club, Sue Ryder and The Islander and look forward to keeping in touch with all the friends we've made in our time here.

As we head home to a new adventure and a Family Wedding - our Son proposed on Long Beach on Christmas Day - we will take with us fond memories of the past 12 months.

We look forward to returning to our family in the UK, but will be sad to leave our 'Family of Friends' here on Ascension.

Hope to see you all again someday.

Marc and Caroline
