This week’s hash was the last for a while (please say not for good!) for our dearly beloved Fugitive and he got to set the two most favourite hashes of his in the area of the Klinka Klub.  The on-on was to the left of the KK and towards English bay.  The first circle check was the chance for those not fancying such a hard time of it to opt out and go dipping in the sea.  With warnings to keep our heads down, our hands off everything and keep to the path we made our way walking, running and stumbling through the transmitter field.  Hard to say which ones were on and which off so best to steer well clear of them all!  No fried brains for us thanks – well not until the après anyway!

The WATs made their way at an amiable pace through the transmitter field and chit-chatted their way along.  It was a gloriously hot day and a little wind – in the form of a breeze – would have been most welcome!  Soon they hit the road just after the Camel Sign, crossed it and headed down along the blue pipeline.  They wended their way back and forth a little and finally saw the transmitters that indicated the KK was fast approaching.  Then it was a fast sprint for some with little legs as they put on a final spurt of energy with encouragement from Fugitive!  Before too long they were tucking not the kegs of lovely iced drinks and some delicious grub.

The FRBs set a fair pace and had soon cracked on across the transmitter field and up towards the main road.  From here they headed up the back of Sisters up the coal chute and then had a lovely back arrow all the way down again!  Probably the best and most fun back arrow in a long time!  Wonder if anyone went back up again just o come down again?  From here it was a good old long run to stretch the legs along the base of Sisters then back along the pipeline and back to base.  When they got back to the Klinka Klub there was no need for showers as they were already dripping wet – sorry sweat … so yes there was every need for shower!!

The merry gang had a whale of a party afterwards with boot burning for Fugitive and Switch Hitter (sorry SH – really didn’t realize it was your last one this week – but we have an evil plan involving Sunday next week!!! See below!) lots of namings, great food (courtesy of Mandy), scrumptious cake and a jolly good time all round.

Our new friends are -

Phil – Puff Daddy; Dave – Diving for Cox; Sydney – R U Kidding?; Patrick – Full Throttle; Alison – Yoda; Erica – Sweet and Salty; Kayla – Hippie Chickie

Many, many thanks to Mandy for the wonderful food and to Mildew and Toilet Tosser for the great cake.

Next week – Due to 4th July Carnival the hash will be SUNDAY 16:30

Two Cocks will be setting it from Devil’s Riding School car park

From Please bring a plate of eats
