Ascension : POLICE REPORT - COMMUNITY POLICING

Now the Police Detachment is up to strength named officers will assume responsibility for certain geographical areas on the island.




They will be responsible for community policing of that area also policing problems within that area.  The officers and areas are outlined below.


 


However they will not provide an immediate response in an emergency.  If it is an emergency please call 6666 which is staffed 24/7.

PC Peter McMullen                -                       Travellers          


 


FOUND PROPERTY


 


A silver bracelet has been handed in to the Police as found property.  Anyone who has lost a bracelet please contact Georgetown Police.


 


A ladies silver coloured ring was found in the terminal at the Pierhead, anyone wishing to claim it please contact the Police.


 


STOLEN AMPLIFIER


 


During June a Sony Amplifier was stolen from a motor vehicle in the US Base.  If anyone has any information regarding the matter please contact Georgetown police on 6412, the call will be treated in the strictest confidence.


 


SINCE OUR LAST REPORT


 


Police were called to a report of Damage.


 


One person is under investigation for playing loud music on the Pierhead in the early hours of the morning.
