Ascension : Church News
Submitted by The Islander (Clive & Jenny Duncan) 18.06.2009 (Article Archived on 02.07.2009)

We are told that patience is a virtue but for some of us that is not so. Patience is not always the easiest of things to have.

We are told that patience is a virtue but for some of us that is not so.  Patience is not always the easiest of things to have.

We get impatient when having to wait in long queues or when something does not work in our favour.

Prayer plays a very important part in our lives and when we make known our needs to God through prayer we must be patient and not get discouraged when he does not respond immediately to our prayers.  God loves us and will only give us what is best for us.

A good example for us to follow is in the steps of the disciples.  They did not lose patience when they had to wait on the help that Jesus promised them.

 Have a pleasant week.

Canon Clive.
