The following cases were heard in the Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 28^th May 2009:-

MARK ANTHONY GREENTREE, aged 39, pleaded guilty to a charge of using a vehicle without there being in force a policy of insurance.

The Court heard that the charge arose from an accident which occurred on the road at the Pierhead on Thursday 18^th September 2008.

Mr Greentree, who was represented by Lay Advocate Mr Nicholas Hobson, was convicted and ordered to pay costs of £35.  He was disqualified from driving Class B vehicles for a period of 9 months.

PAUL MARTIN FOWLER, aged 38, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving with excess alcohol.

The Court heard that the charge arose from an accident which occurred on the road at Two Boats Village, on Sunday 3^rd May 2009.

Mr Fowler, who was represented by Lay Advocate Mr Nicholas Hobson, was convicted and ordered to pay a fine and costs totalling £115.  He was disqualified from driving Class A vehicles for a period of 12 months.
