The following cases were heard in the Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 28th May 2009:-
MARK ANTHONY GREENTREE, aged 39, pleaded guilty to a charge of using a vehicle without there being in force a policy of insurance.
The Court heard that the charge arose from an accident which occurred on the road at the Pierhead on Thursday 18th September 2008.
Mr Greentree, who was represented by Lay Advocate Mr Nicholas Hobson, was convicted and ordered to pay costs of £35. He was disqualified from driving Class B vehicles for a period of 9 months.
PAUL MARTIN FOWLER, aged 38, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving with excess alcohol.
The Court heard that the charge arose from an accident which occurred on the road at Two Boats Village, on Sunday 3rd May 2009.
Mr Fowler, who was represented by Lay Advocate Mr Nicholas Hobson, was convicted and ordered to pay a fine and costs totalling £115. He was disqualified from driving Class A vehicles for a period of 12 months.
