Ascension : News from St Mary's Church
Submitted by The Islander (Clive & Jenny Duncan) 28.05.2009 (Article Archived on 11.06.2009)

First I would like to say a very big ‘thank you’ to everyone that supported the Ascension Day Fair on Saturday.

Although it started later this year the numbers in the square did not take long to swell with people mingling in the various stalls and participating in the sideshows.

As usual a lot of hard work was put in behind the scenes by people, far too many to mention individually, but can assure you that whatever you did is greatly appreciated.  It all added to the success of the fair.

Still to come are a couple of events planned by the Ascension Day Fair Committee so keep and eye out for the dates which will be published in the Islander and look forward to you joining  us.

Every blessing.

Canon Clive.

Padre Sheila Munro, Revd. (Sqn. Ldr.) Force Chaplain, British Forces South Atlantic Islands, will join us and preach at our Divine Service on Sunday morning.
