Interserve Defence on Ascension Island requires the services of 2 Mechanical Fitters, an Electrician and an Administrator to work on the Ascension Island Base.

MECHANCIAL FITTERS, ELECTRICIAN, ADMINISTRATOR
Interserve Defence on Ascension Island requires the services of 2 Mechanical Fitters, an Electrician and an Administrator to work on the Ascension Island Base.
· A competitive salary will be paid. Overtime rates and a call out allowance where applicable.
· Hours of work are 45 hours Monday to Friday plus 5 hours on alternate Saturdays.
· The Fitters and Electrician’s contracts are 12 months. The Administrator’s is 27 months with leave after approximately every 6 months.
· All contracts are single status.
· Free accommodation and catering services will be provided, as will free passages from and to St Helena or the UK.

· Passes a medical examination and criminal background checks.

Job Facts – MECHANICAL FITTER
· Carry out planned/response mechanical maintenance on industrial doors, mechanical ventilations, compressed air system, hot and cold water systems, fixed machine tools and abrasive wheels.
· Metal fabrication.
· Refitting/maintaining pumps, valves, glands, bearings including equipment on Bulk Fuel Installations.
· Calibration of mechanical equipment.
· Diagnosing the source of reactive problems and carry out repairs on mechanical equipment,
· Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Job Facts - ELECTRICIAN
· Carry out planned/response electrical maintenance on LV distribution systems, hazardous areas systems, commercial and domestic equipment, fire alarm systems.
· Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Job Facts – ADMINISTRATOR
· The Administrator’s main focus will be to operate an Information Management System called Ultrasys to aid the smooth running and continuous development of the Planned Maintenance System, carry out other administration tasks including filing and contribute to our internal news letter Enlighten.
