Applications are invited for the post of Director of the St Helena National Trust.
The St Helena National Trust needs a skilled, dynamic and enthusiastic Director. The Trust is a St Helena Registered Charity (no. 10) established by Ordinance promoting appreciation, protection and enhancement of St Helena’s unique built and natural terrestrial and marine environments and cultural heritage.
We are looking for someone who has the energy, ability and commitment to manage many different demands. You will need to be able to demonstrate that you can develop a 5 year organisational strategy in line with its mission and drive the further development of the Trust and ensure sound governance in terms of human resources, financial and administrative management.
You will have experience of fund raising. You will be expected to represent the St Helena National Trust in local and international fora, build the reputation of the organisation, develop volunteer support and expand membership. Good inter-personal skills are essential as the role requires interaction with the public, schools, local organisations, government departments and international groups.
Salary: £16,000 + negotiable package to meet travel & re-location costs up to £5,000
