A few weeks ago I met with a group of people passing through here after spending a short vacation in St. Helena.  The conversation was centered around their travels to others parts of the world.  One person said that whenever he travelled he always tried to make a habit of travelling light and the reasons for doing it. Unfortunately I am just the opposite.

When Jesus called the twelve disciples together and sent them out two by two we are told he ordered them not to take anything with them on their journey except a stick – no bread, no beggar’s bag, no money in their pockets.  Wear sandals, but not to carry an extra shirt”.

A tall order but the disciples responded faithfully to Jesus.

Have a pleasant and enjoyable week.

Canon Clive.
