Ascension : Church News
Submitted by The Islander (Clive & Jenny Duncan) 29.01.2009 (Article Archived on 12.02.2009)

“You can never depend on him he is full of broken promises”. I guess we all have come up against this some time or other.

“You can never depend on him he is full of broken promises”.  I guess we all have come up against this some time or other.  A broken promise can cause inconvenience to the other party and in some cases have financial implications.

We all make promises but find that we are unable to keep all of them. When making a promise we need to assure ourselves that we can fulfil that promise.

When we look at God we will find that he has always been making promises and kept them and that his way is the best way when it comes to making and keeping promises.   We can only but try to do it God’s way.

Canon Clive
