Ascension : Church News
Submitted by The Islander (Clive & Jenny Duncan) 22.01.2009 (Article Archived on 05.02.2009)

We are all too well aware how easy it is to get our priorities wrong.

GETTING OUR PRIORITES RIGHT.

We are all too well aware how easy it is to get our priorities wrong.  No matter how much we try to get it right we are faced with the possibility of getting it all wrong.

Whilst staying with a friend, each evening she would make a list of the things that needed doing the next day.  What was considered important to her would be placed in order of priority. However, there were occasions whereby it went wrong and doing this for a number of years she came to accept the fact that it was only occasionally she got it right.

When drawing up a priority list of the things we consider to be of importance to us, let us not forget to include God.  There are a number of hours to spend in a week so, how much of this time will you allow for God, who has done so much for you and still is.  Will you give him the highest priority that he deserves?

Enjoy your week.

Canon Clive.
