Submitted by The Islander (Soo Matthews) 25.12.2008 (Article Archived on 08.01.2009)

Many thanks to everyone who came along to support the children at Two Boats School for the Primary Production and the Christingle service.

Many thanks to everyone who came along to support the children at Two Boats School for the Primary Production and the Christingle service.  The star of the show was Nyreeka Lawrence as Whoops a Daisy a learner angel.

The middle school children and the school choir sang us some Christmas songs and then we all joined in with some carol singing for the Christingle Service.

The Christingle service raised about £450 (exact amount will be confirmed next week).

Thanks go to all the school staff who made the event possible particularly Mrs Augustus, Mrs Roberts, Mrs C Leo, Mrs A Yon, Miss Henry, Miss Trodd, Mrs Birkett, Mrs L Yon, Mrs Owen, Mrs Harris, Mrs T Yon and Ms Evans.  Miss Thomas for the tickets and programmes, Mr Duncan for props and stage and Mr Anthony for props, stage and transport.

Many thanks also to the US Base for the lovely oranges which made the Christingle service possible.

On behalf of all the staff and children at Two Boats School I would like to wish you all a very restful and happy Christmas and all the best for 2009.

Ms Matthews

Headteacher
