The ‘Sugar Lumps’ was the venue, and as the hoards of Hashers old and new gathered there appeared several worried looks – the only way seemed to be up! Well that’s what we were all made to think when Bart Simpson shouted ’On On!’. However, just as The Yeti reached the top of the climb ‘False Trail!’ was heard and everyone turned to see the Hares galloping off into the distance along a much easier, flatter path! When they were eventually caught Mr Bubbles insisted Bay-Watch Babe was to blame. Porky pies me thinks!
The trail led us through the beautiful Eucalyptus trees by Bullocks Pond and up and over some rocky hillsides. A couple of circle checks later found us exhausted and parched after a steep climb, but the view was well worth the effort. Goat and The Major had other ideas and found themselves separated from the pack after ignoring the hash trail – you two should know better!
3 Circle checks, a couple of Bar checks and gallons of water consumed later, we were given a choice of two paths – one for the adventurous and an easier option for those who needed liquid refreshments and a sit down! Skipper, Mad Cow and Pirate were among the many who thought they’d be adventurous only to find yet another Back Arrow!! Serves them right for being gluttons for punishment!
The Home Arrow came into view and everyone suddenly had a burst of energy! How strange?! Back at the ranch…. the circle of friendship welcomed Mr Grimsdale, Weather Cock and Hub-caps to Hashdom.
