Ascension : News From St. Marys
Submitted by The Islander (Clive & Jenny Duncan) 18.12.2003 (Article Archived on 01.01.2004)

The past week was undoubtedly a busy one for a number of people who were preparing for what was to take place over the week end.

Dear Friends,

The past week was undoubtedly a busy one for a number of people who were preparing for what was to take place over the week end. At least they can now breath a sign of relief. The organisers for the fund raising event on Saturday was a gentle reminder for all of us that Christmas is only a few weeks away. Then on Sunday, a further reminder, when the children of Two Boats School did a wonderful performance of the Nativity to a packed Church followed by Christingle.

It was a pleasure meeting family and friends again this week. Sadly a number of them will sail on the RMS St. Helena on Thursday. We wish you all a safe and pleasant voyage.

In the next edition of the Islander I will be publishing the services for the remainder of this month which will include the Christmas services.

In the meantime, may God continue to richly bless you in whatever you are involved with this week.

Canon Clive.
