Ascension : Heritage Notes
Submitted by The Islander (Islander Internet Editor) 16.10.2008 (Article Archived on 30.10.2008)

The weekend found some volunteers moving furniture back into the repaired and painted Archives Building.   Well done to Gene, Ed, Steve, Josh, Chad and Michael.   After that a few clipper happy folks worked on the giant thorn tree.  The plan is to create a nice, shaded spot to relax on a bench!

A couple more volunteers have stepped forward.  The new volunteers are wonderful to have on board.  Their talents and skills will be appreciated as we work on all our projects!  We have lots to interest any and all!!  We are looking forward to accomplishing a great deal in the coming months!

Our meeting, which was previously planned for Tuesday, October 14 has been postponed to Thursday, 16 October due to the elections, so if anyone would like to attend and see what the Heritage Society is up to, please join us!  We will be meeting at 1830h at the Volcano Club Conference room on the US Base.  My apologies if the change in date inconvenienced anyone!
