The Archives building is taking shape.  The walls have been painted, and the floor has a coat of paint on it as well.  Next Saturday we will be moving the furniture back.  Pete and Jill Johnson will be arriving in November to work as volunteers at the Heritage Society.  Their primary objective is to organize the archives and catalogue the collections.  They plan to sort the material as they return it to the archives building, so this will save us a lot of moving!

The hashers were introduced to one of the proposed new Letterbox locations this past week.  All agreed the views are spectacular!  Watch this space to see what is going on with our new Letterbox walks.  We’re working on several new trails.

We have been lucky in that we have had some new people offer to assist us at the Heritage Society.  We appreciate their offer and are looking forward to having them join us!  We have a great many plans and can use all sorts of interests, talents and skills!  Our next Heritage Society meeting is going to be held on Tuesday, the 14th of October at 1830h at the conference room at the Volcano Club, U.S. Base.  If you’d like to join us, please feel free to come along and see what is going on with the Society.
