There are times when we come into contact with people who will promise everything when planning some event

There are times when we come into contact with people who will promise everything when planning some event but when it comes to the doing part they very conveniently disappear from the scene.  On the other hand we have people who are just the opposite, they are reluctant to become involve and promise nothing, yet more often than not they are the ones, who after a change of mind, will put their shoulder to the wheel and give it their full support, this is what counts in the end.

In the parable Jesus told about the vineyard owner and his two sons who were asked to go and work in the vineyard we see a change of mind from the one who had at first refused to go.  Undoubtedly he as a lot better than the other who promised to go but does not.   His change of mind was one of obedience to do what his father asked, that is what counts.

Have a pleasant and enjoyable week.

Canon Clive.

There will not be the Family Service this coming Sunday but on Sunday 26 October, Harvest Festival.
