In my 3 weeks of work experience at the Base Motor pool, Interserve Bench Joiners and AIG Carpentry Shop. I have learnt to develop my skills and to value more problem solving things. At the Base Motor Pool I worked generally with Glanville, Adrian and Pete. We mainly worked on the larger vehicles such as Fire Engines, forklifts, High lift and the tractors. After looking at the vehicles they showed me what the problem was and how it could be fixed. The best thing about the base was the mess; I enjoyed the food a lot and went there for breakfast and lunch without fail!
For my second week I went to Interserve to do a bit of Bench Joinery work. I worked with Gavin and Avon for my week and they showed me some of their carpentry skills which I will use in the future. We also fitted up Cubicles for their new toilets at Interserve and other jobs that were needed to be successfully fixed and built.
For the last week I went to the AIG Carpentry. I mainly worked with Errol; we spent our week replacing doors. I learnt how to develop my practical skills that I use in my technology as a subject that I use in school.
So generally I would like to say a big thank you to the people who have helped me and for the laugh on my work experience and to make it a success.
