Last Saturday saw the final days play in this years Open Championship, going into the final round Lawson Henry was in the lead by 10 shots, Lawson having played the three previous rounds scoring 72 in each round, was the only player playing consistent golf throughout the championship, the final round was no different, Lawson scoring a 69 to finish on 4 round total of 285, this was 15 shots from his nearest challenger Alex Turner who shot final round 74 for total of 300 to finish in second place, making his first appearance in the scratch qualifiers to finish in third place was a young lad called Eugene Bennet, Eugene has consistently reduced his handicap all year has made great improvement and deservedly finished in third place scoring final round 74 for a total of 303.
