Ascension : POLICE ACTIVITY REPORT
Submitted by The Islander (Police Ascension) 18.09.2008 (Article Archived on 02.10.2008)

The Ascension Police Detachment had a relatively quiet week, having only received one report requesting Police Assistance.

The Ascension Police Detachment had a relatively quiet week, having only received one report requesting Police Assistance.

There will shortly be Staff changes within the Detachment, as this week we bid farewell to Sergeant Clarence Roberts, his wife Pam and son Thomas.  Sergeant Roberts has been working here with the Detachment for the past four years and has become a familiar face within the Community.

He will be sadly missed by his colleagues, especially for his good sense of humor.  I am sure he will take away with him fond memories of Ascension Island and the people that he has come into contact with.

Sergeant Roberts and family will be leaving for the UK and Capetown on holiday, before returning to St. Helena later this year.  All his Colleagues would like to wish him and his family, Good Luck for the future and a safe travel. His replacement will arrive here in due course.

Marlene Benjamin
Acting Police Sergeant
