Ascension : News From St Mary's Church
Submitted by The Islander (Clive & Jenny Duncan) 28.08.2008 (Article Archived on 11.09.2008)

SHARING WORK - Ocean View Club was beautifully decorated for the wedding reception of Mark and Jolene last Saturday afternoon.

It was obvious that the workload had to be shared to achieve what was there for everyone to see.

When Jesus’ fame began to spread, more and more people turned out to listen to him and to be healed.  He knew he needed assistance and chose a group from his followers to share his authority with giving them the power to go out and preach his message in places he was unable to reach.  Undoubtedly this had to be a great experience for them to share Jesus’ work in this way.

There will be occasions when we take on additional responsibilities that we will find it difficult to cope but it is good to know that to share these responsibilities  with others they will gain experience, in the same way as those Jesus chose, from the tasks they are been given.

Have a pleasant week
