Ascension : PUBLIC CONSULTATION - Revised Island Council Ordinance
Submitted by The Islander (Ascension Island Government) 03.07.2008 (Article Archived on 17.07.2008)

As part of the ongoing public consultation regarding the future for democracy on Ascension, a revised Island Council Ordinance has been drafted. The draft addresses points that have been raised previously concerning the role and structure of an Island Council. Comments are sought from the public on the new draft Ordinance.

The draft Ordinance is too long to publish in the newspaper. But copies are being posted on notice boards at the AIG Administration building, as well as at the Saints Club and the Two Boats Club. Personal copies may be obtained on request from the AIG Administration Department
