Ascension : Conservation Weekly - MASKED BOOBY
Submitted by The Islander (Conservation Office) 03.07.2008 (Article Archived on 17.07.2008)

If you are walking near Hummock Point, keep on the lookout for this bird. The masked booby above has a nest with a new chick located close to the path.

Are you interested in learning more about Ascension’s sea birds or seeing more of the island?  Volunteers are needed to help with our sea bird monitoring walks for the next 3 weeks. Please ring x6359 for more information.

DID YOU KNOW… that it is against the law to litter on Ascension?  Anyone caught in the act of littering can pay a £100 fine.  So, please be mindful and put your rubbish in the bin.
