Ascension : News From St.Marys
Submitted by The Islander (Clive & Jenny Duncan) 12.06.2008 (Article Archived on 26.06.2008)

The day we left St. Helena to come to Ascension we knew we leaving behind some close friends but at the same time coming to a place where we knew a number of people.

The day we left St. Helena to come to Ascension  we knew we leaving behind some close friends but at the same time coming to a place where  we  knew a number of people.  Some people are not as fortunate when they go to a strange place, and have to make new friends.  It takes time getting to know people before a friendship can be established.

Wherever we go we should try and remember that there is a friend who will always be there for us and ready to share in our lives if we are prepared to share our life experiences with him.  That friend is God.

God is inviting us to be his friends and we need to work at developing that friendship with him.

Have an enjoyable week,

Canon Clive.
