Solomon & Company (St Helena) Plc wishes to employ a Supervisor to work within their Georgetown Shop. This post will be available from August 2008.
The successful applicant will be accountable to the General Manager and will, at times, work closely with the Senior Storekeeper to ensure the smooth running of the shop, stores and wholesale operations.
It is essential for the candidate to be trustworthy, literate and numerate with basic knowledge of Computer applications.
They must be highly motivated, approachable, have good communication and supervisory skills and have the ability to deliver and maintain high standards of customer care. They must also be flexible, able to work under pressure as part of a busy team and be physically fit.
The main duties of the post will include dealing with cash, ensuring that the shop shelves are fully stocked and correctly price labelled, paying particular attention to ‘Best Before Dates’ and being responsible for the general supervision of the shop floor.
The successful candidate will be entitled to:
· 30 Working days leave per Year
· Sick leave
· Staff discount on special orders
The hours of work are 40 per week with a taxable Salary being paid at a minimum rate of £6000- £6600 per annum.
The post is offered on a household status therefore accommodation will not be provided.
