Ascension : SHY 3 FISHING BOAT SLIPS FROM CRANE AT PIERHEAD

On Monday afternoon the Shy 3 slipped from the crane that was lifting it out of the water and after hitting the Pierhead landed in the sea.

On Monday afternoon the Shy 3 slipped from the crane that was lifting it out of the water and after hitting the Pierhead landed in the sea.  The top picture shows the stricken boat sometime after the incident as attempts were being made to retrieve her. The bottom picture shows what was left on the Tuesday morning whilst being pulled ashore.  Nobody was injured in the incident.
