  – between them the eleven students sat 66 exams and achieved 61 grades at distinction 4 Credits and 1 Pass – this is an outstanding achievement and displays the level of commitment and the amount of hard work they have all put into the course.

A massive dept of gratitude also goes to the following people and their organisations for supporting the students in their training – Roy Haley, Alex Gordon and Arthur Thomas at AIG, Miles Miller and the electrical team at IDL and Ian Coverdale, Jeff Francis and Trevor ‘Tich’ Fowler VT Communications – the collaboration between all of these organisations contributed greatly to the level of success and achievement.

AIG, Interserve and VT Communications have demonstrated their commitment to professional staff development and training by continuing to support the students to the next level.

A big thank you also goes to the following visiting lecturers from Electrol Ltd, whose specialist overseas team helped to make the course such a resounding success – Graham Smith (Electrical Science), Alan Gray (Mechanical Science), Chris Pashley (Electrical Science) John Adkin (Practical Competences), and Stephanie Orr (Maths).
