Ascension : NEW JUSTICE OF THE PEACE APPOINTED

On Thursday 10 April 2008 at the Ascension Magistrates’ Courthouse in Georgetown, three new Justices of the Peace were sworn in.

On Thursday 10 April 2008 at the Ascension Magistrates’ Courthouse in Georgetown, three new Justices of the Peace were sworn in.  Mrs Jacqui Ellick, Mr Paul Knowles and Mrs Suzanne Edwards were appointed Justices of the Peace by HE the Governor in March this year.  Before commencing their duties of the office of Justice of the Peace, they were required to take certain prescribed oaths before the Acting Administrator, Mrs Nicola Kerslake, who thanked them for volunteering to serve the community as JPs.  The proceedings were witnessed by members of the Court User Group.
