Obsidian Group are looking to recruit the services of a full time Cleaner to work as a general cleaner in the various premises owned by the Company for two months beginning 1st April 2008.

The candidate must have a flexible attitude towards working hours beyond the normal 35 hours per week, as some paid overtime working will be required at busy periods.  Some work may also occur during holiday periods, for which overtime or time off in-lieu will be given.

The successful candidate should enjoy dealing with people and have a pleasant and outgoing manner. They should be able to fit into a close and happy team along side the existing members of Obsidian’s staff.

The successful candidate will be paid a taxable salary plus a taxable uniform allowance. The position is being offered as a Household post with no accommodation provided.

(Full time) Bar Person from 1 May to 17 June

The Obsidian Hotel would like to recruit the services of a Bar Person to manage the Anchor Inn bar at the Hotel from 1^st May until 17^th June to cover for staff leave.  For this temporary job an attractive taxable salary is being offered dependant on the experience of the applicant.

Main Duties

1.                  To mix and serve drinks (alcoholic, non-alcoholic, coffees, etc.) and confectionery to Hotel Guests and the Public, both over the Bar and at dinning tables within the Obsidian Hotel’s Restaurant.

2.                  To use the cash register to record all transactions and to take monies and give change.

3.                  To keep the bar and store room clean and tidy.

Experience in bar tending, using a cash register and dealing with the general public are ideal.
