Ascension : Police Activity Report

The Police Detachment received and dealt with six reports between the 25th February to the 3rd March,

ST HELENA POLICE

ASCENSION DETACHMENT

 

The Police Detachment received and dealt with six reports between the 25th February to the 3rd  March, `which includes one report of Burglary , three road Traffic Offences, one Indecent telephone call and one report of common assault.

            

On Monday 25th February, the police received a report of an alleged burglary at the US Base, The police immediately responded to this report and as a result of the information received and during the investigations a female person was arrested and was detained in police custody.  She was subsequently charged and bailed to appear before the Magistrates Court on Thursday 06th March, but due to circumstances prevailed the case was brought forward and will be held today, Monday at 9am.  Vehicle Checks were carried out over the weekend and as a result, three Road Traffic Offences were dealt with by the police, whereby the drivers were given verbal warnings for having defective lights on their vehicles during the hours of darkness and one for exceeding the speed limit.  On Thursday, the police received a report of indecent telephone calls, which is currently under investigations.
