Tuesday 12th Feb, the 1st Ascension Girl Guides said Thank You and Good-Bye to Tania Maggott over a meal at the snack bar and a presentation of an Ascension Island decorated Plate and Dolphin Fridge Magnet.  Tania, took on the role of Guide Leader in my Absence along with her Unit Helpers Kirsty and Wendy.  Tania was no stranger to the Unit as she did Brownies before this.  We wished Tania a safe journey and Good Luck for the future as her and Chris makes their new home in Swindon.

As I can not be totally involved in Girlguiding due to ill-health the Unit is looking for someone who can help out, say, twice a month.  If there is an interested person/s out there please give me a call on 6147.  It will be a shame if the Guides dissolve.  To make them feel they are still involved I am willing to accompany them on their Thinking Day Ceremony 22nd February and Mothering Sunday Service 2nd March.  On these two occasions Mrs. Hill has ask me to promise that all I will do is sit, sing, watch and listen - so nothing strenuous for me to do!!!

Cheryl

(Guide Leader – on rest!)
