Yo Ho Ho and a bottle of juice!

Yo Ho Ho and a bottle of juice!

The children of Ascension Island had lots of fun this week with Pirate Captain Scraggy Locks and her scurvy crew. With plenty of pirate activities going on some intrepid explorers even found Dampier’s treasure!
The pirate picnic was very popular and the Jolly Roger was even spotted in Clarence Bay as a pirate ship put in an appearance much to the delight of some very excited Ascension Island pirates who waved from Fort Hayes.
The Heritage Society would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who helped to make our pirate week such a success including those sailors who flew the skull and crossbones and a particular THANK YOU to Sarah Coverdale (aka The Captain!)
