Last sunday the 16th Sep 07, the club hosted the monthly medal, a very good turnout of 17 players took part in the medal, the two ball pool of 18 balls, was won by Patrick O,Dean and Norman Thomas 9 ball each, well done to both of you.

The main competition the medal was closely contested for, there were some very good scores on the day all round, but the man carrying away this months medal, was Butch Bleasedale with a great round of nett 64, well played Butch,

handicap cut in the future no doubt.

In last weeks golf news, I made an error, the runners up in the Texas scramble should have read, David Lawrence, Ian Thomas and Martin Joshua, and not Frediie Bennet as was stated, my apologies to those concerned.

The clubhouse is being painted and refurbished at this moment, so until the work is completed, the club will not be

available for hire, as soon as the work is completed, I will inform everyone through the Islander.

The Open Championship trophies have been ordered, and I am in the process of formalising the Open dates, ships permitting, we are looking at the last weekend in October, plus the first weekend in November, will keep you updated on this.
