Ascension : Two Boats School 40th Anniversary
Submitted by The Islander (Soo Matthews) 02.08.2007 (Article Archived on 16.08.2007)

The Primary Sector would like to thank all the ex-pupils of Two Boats School who came along to help us celebrate the 40th Anniversary of TBS.

The party, held on Tuesday 24 July from 1.30 until 2.45 pm, was part of our two weeks of looking at schooling on Ascension Island.   The children made party hats,  decorated the hall and helped to make some of the food.  When our guests arrived, the children acted as tour guides taking the ex-pupils around the school.  Much discussion about how the school had changed took place.   There were numerous old photos being carefully examined and reminisced over.

We hope you had as much fun as we did.  Thanks for coming.  Thanks also to everyone who donated food.

We apologies to anyone who was not invited.  Our guest list was drawn up from photographs and our memories, so unfortunately, we missed a few of you.

Finally,  thank you to Justin Stevens for the photograph.
