We are looking for a new, full-time Cook who will, together with other members of the Catering Team, ensure meals of a consistently high quality are provided by the Obsidian Hotel’s Restaurant

Join the Catering Team at the Obsidian Hotel

Package includes single accommodation, taxable salary, passages and gratuity

We are looking for a new, full-time Cook who will, together with other members of the Catering Team, ensure meals of a consistently high quality are provided by the Obsidian Hotel’s Restaurant to the Hotel’s Guests (breakfasts and dinners) and members of the Public (dinners and ad-hoc events).  The annual taxable salary will be £8,350, single accommodation will also be provided together with Obsidian’s other modern terms of employment which include the provision of annual passages and a gratuity.

Should an Applicant not require accommodation then a higher salary will be offered.

Main Duties

1.                  To provide high quality meals for the Hotel’s Guests and the Public as required

2.                  To cater for ad-hoc events, such as barbeques, that are open to the Public.

3.                  To cater for functions when requested, i.e. provide buffets.

4.                  To ensure the kitchen is clean and that meals are provided in a hygienic manner.

5.                  To cover for Catering Staff leave (taken during the Hotel’s “quiet” season).

6.                  To assist in the ordering of supplies.

The successful candidate will be offered an initial contract of one year’s duration, including an initial three months probationary period.
