So the holidays are over… back to school. For some of you it might be your last term… argh!

There isn’t a lot of news at the moment, all seems to be quiet.  Unless I have missed something and you haven’t wrote in to let me know.  I hope the Scouts enjoyed their visitors.  I think they will have left the island by now despite the delay.  I don’t want to go on about that though… we want to hear it from you -  Scouts as I am sure your tales are far more interesting!

Playground Game:  Queenie

Equipment – tennis ball

Players – 3 or more

One player is chosen to be Queenie and he stands with his back to the other players.  Queenie throws the ball over his head and one of the other players catches it.  Then all the players stand with their hands behind their backs as if holding the ball and say together… “Queenie, I Cocoa, Who’s got the ball e o?”

Queenie then turns around and he has 3 guesses to decide who has the ball, but he can also ask 3 players to turn around – this they must do while hiding, or pretending to hide the ball.  If Queenie guesses wrongly, the player with the ball becomes Queenie, otherwise Queenie gets another go.
