Ascension : Golf News

Last Sunday the 8th of April, One Boat Golf Club hosted the Gary and Sharon Thomas Texas scramble 2 person team event.

The results were as follows:

Two Ball Pool, Dave Strachan and Freddie Bennett with 2  two,s, one two for the following, Damien Obey and Eugene Bennett, Norman Thomas and Eric Crowie, Lyn Leo and Sidney Benjamin,

well done to you all.

The main competition results, nearest the pin on the 6th: Dave Strachan.

Nearest the pin on the 12th: David Lawrence.

longest drive 3rd: Dale Josias.

longest drive 17th: Dave Strachan.

finishing in third place overall: Norman Thomas and Eric Crowie (43pts).

finishing in second place overall: Jimmy Bennett and Joyce Bennett (44pts).

finishing first the winners overall: Damien Obey and Eugene Bennett (45pts).

The presentation of prizes took place, they were announced by myself and presented by Gary Thomas, my thanks go to Gary and Sharon for this tournament

and all the prizes they gave for this competition, a really good tournament was had by all.

This was followed by a slap up lunch, provided by Gary and Sharon again, all I can say on behalf of all present is that it was a lovely meal, a lovely day, rounded of with a happy

hour, music by the Hillbillies, if you have not had the spectacle of this band on the Island yet, get them to your venue, you do not know what your missing.

again to Gary and Sharon Thomas for a wonderful day at One Boat well done to the both of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
