EVERY WEDNESDAY,

QUIET ROOM, TRAVELLERS

HILL.

The good news is that I have received a message this week from Mike and Jane Durnford that an order has been placed for the daffodils and if everything goes to plan will arrive here on Tuesday 13 March.  For the past three years Mike and Jane has been our contact in the UK and we are most grateful to them for giving up their time to collect and deliver the flowers to Brize Norton in time for the Mother's Day Service;  thanks also to the RAF for all their help.  We are most grateful indeed to these people who have made it possible for the children to have a posy to give to their mothers on Mothering Sunday.

Although there wasn't a large number in the congregation for the Annual Vestry Meeting we were able to continue.  Six nominations only were received and that was for Church Council Members - Alan Nichols, Clarence Roberts, Dave Wood, Prudence Peters, Nicola Dillon, and Jennifer Duncan.  However another meeting will be called on Sunday 11 March for nominations for Churchwardens and

Alternate Wardens.  I sincerely hope that, with your help over the next couple of weeks,  we will succeed in getting at least three  people interested to fill these very important positions on the Council.  So get busy, start talking to people, one never knows there could be someone very close to you just waiting to be asked!

Best of luck and have a pleasant week.

Canon Clive
