Ascension : From St Mary's Church
Submitted by The Islander (Clive & Jenny Duncan) 01.02.2007 (Article Archived on 15.02.2007)

Dear All, It would be nice to have a full church for our Family Service on Sunday morning to welcome the youth organisations after a couple months not being on parade and also Mrs. Sarah Coverdale who will give a talk during the service.

When I returned from the United Kingdom around this time last year, one of the first things I did was to dispatch a box of toys to St. Helena that the children here had brought for the Toy Service that was held prior to my arrival.

For the Family Service on Sunday the children are invited again to bring a toy that they would like to pass on to a child who is less fortunate than they are and to thank God that through their sharing they are able to bring some joy into their lives.

It was a pleasure to see the number of toys that was sent  last  year and have no doubt  you will be just as generous this time.

See you in Church on Sunday,

Canon Clive.
