Ascension : The Met Office Weather Report Submitted by The Islander (Met Office) 18.01.2007 (Article Archived on 01.02.2007)
There is still far too much cloud for my liking given it is supposed to be the height of summer and the continual occurrence of showers is somewhat disappointing. Let’s hope this coming week is better!

ASCENSION:
There is still far too much cloud for my liking given it is supposed to be the height of summer and the continual occurrence of showers is somewhat disappointing. Let’s hope this coming week is better!
ST. HELENA:
A generally dry, bright week with a little sunshine at times. There were also a few drizzly showers, but these tended to occur overnight and during the first few hours of the morning.
UK:
The present mild spell of weather has continued through the week with spells of often wet and very windy weather. Brize Norton itself had over an inch of rain on Tuesday. Although there has been a little bit of snow in the North of Scotland, there has at last been one sharp widespread frost. Gales in the middle of the week caused widespread damage across a good swathe of the country.
A pretty good week on the whole with plenty of sunshine, a little rain, particularly on Friday and Saturday, but with reasonably mild temperatures despite the frequent windy interludes.
