ASCENSION:

A fairly dry week, only a trace of rain measured at the airhead and Travellers only mustered 0.1 mm. Monday was by far the cloudiest day, but the remainder of the week experienced much more in the way of sunshine, particularly in the afternoon. Maximum temperatures at Travellers broke 30 Celsius on Friday.

ST. HELENA:

A very similar theme throughout the week, with any generally light overnight showers dying out in the morning. Good breaks then developed in the cloud by the afternoon.  The highest temperature was recorded on Thursday with the lowest overnight temperature on Monday morning.

UK:

No White Christmas at Brize, not even a frost and temperatures generally rose throughout the week. Last weeks overcast weather with light winds continued for a couple of days but by Thursday had become breezy with bands of rain. The strong winds and rain cancelled some of the New Year events and firework displays in the North and West of the UK.
