Ascension : ASCENSION MAGISTRATES’ COURT

The following case was heard in the Magistrates’ Court last week:-



ANDREW JOHN SIMKINS, aged 42, of Travellers Hill, appeared in the Ascension Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 14 December 06 and pleaded Guilty to charges of careless driving and driving whilst over the prescribed limit.



The Court heard that the charges arose from an accident which occurred on the road near the junction to Hogan’s Bypass during the early hours on Sunday 3 December 06. 


Mr Simkins, who was represented by Lay Advocate Mr Lawson Henry, was ordered to pay fines and costs totalling £285.  He was disqualified from driving for 18 months.
