Star-gazers are in for a treat this month - with perfect conditions for an amazing meteor show.
Meteors are grains of dust which fall off of comets. They're also known as shooting stars.
Because of the position of the moon and the Earth, you should be able to see them really clearly this year.
The meteors burn up when they enter the Earth's atmosphere, making streaks of light. These particular meteors are called Orionids.
They come off of Halley's Comet, which swings around the sun every 76 years.
We won't see the comet for another 55 years, but every October the earth travels through a cloud of its meteors.
The shooting stars can be seen for the whole of this month, but reach their peak on 21 October.
