Dear Friends,

What a pleasure it is to be writing the Church page this week.  I do hope you all had a great weekend deciding on what to do and where to go etc… Decisions, Decisions, Decisions………….

Last Sunday at the Family/Parade service the Gospel Telling was explained how decisions were made before Jesus’ birth leading up to his crucifixion.    Firstly, remembering how Mary had to make her decision to carry and born Jesus after Angel Gabriel came and told her the news from God, then Joseph making his decision to standby Mary and marrying her.  These decisions would have been different if God hadn’t sent his message.

Jesus’ grew up and his moment of decisions came when he ask his 12 Disciples two very important questions:-  “Who do people say I am?” and “Who do YOU think I am?”  Peter answered that Jesus is the Messiah - He is Christ.  This was a brief answer to a brief question.

In our lives we make decisions every day at work, school, in the community etc…We also have to make our own decisions as to whether or not we will respond to Jesus, and the claims he makes on our lives.  Nearly two weeks ago my family had to make a decision and that was to help care for my sister Tessa and her baby Jerome.  It doesn’t matter how we make our decisions but we always know it is the right thing to do.

This is all for this time…………………..have a pleasant week.

God Bless
Cheryl
