ASCENSION:
A very dry and sunny start to June with little or no rainfall reported across the Island.
ST. HELENA:
A little more rain over St Helena than here, with some pleasant afternoon sunshine.
UK:
A large anticyclone extended across the UK for much of the week. Daytime temperatures rose above 30 degrees at the weekend. This did trigger some thunderstorms in the Southwest of England on Sunday night.
The usual mixed bag saw a reasonable start to the week with northerly gales on Thursday. By the weekend the wind had swung round to the south with snow showers in places.
