ASCENSION:

We are coming to the end of the hot season now, and it should gradually become a little cooler over the next few months. Some sharp showers have again affected the island this week, but rainfall totals for April are below average, continuing the dry theme of this year so far.

ST. HELENA:

A better week than of late across our neighbour island; conditions have been generally drier and less windy. Temperatures have been fairly average for the time of year.

UK:

Frank Sinatra romanced about ‘April in Paris,’ but he should have visited Scotland. The landscape can be beautiful at this time of year, as the trees start to bloom. It has been chilly by night though, with occasional frost in the glens.

FALKLANDS:

An unsettled week and often windy, with rain or showers on most days; nevertheless, temperatures have been a little on the mild side for the time of year.
