Ascension : Hash Trash - Hash 1096

The gathering place this week was NASA Sheds, we got into a late start today and even later after waiting for Uncle Fester to decide if he was going to wear his hash boots or not.

The gathering place this week was NASA Sheds, we got into a late start today and even later after waiting for Uncle Fester to decide if he was going to wear his hash boots or not.  Sorry I was one of the late ones so I don’t remember the hazards, something to do with guava I suppose.  Immediately the runners and walkers were separated.
The on-on took the walkers down hill where there were plenty of dust and dirt into their first circle check, then up hill to a bar check, which lead them pass the olive trees onto the main road, but not for long.  The runner’s route took them pass the Challenger round in a circle and soon they were on the same path trying to catch the walkers.  After their first circle check they headed up hill but the FRB’s discovered that waited back arrow.
There were all walkers today no talkers everyone was well paced.  When the runners came to a circle check at the Scouts Camp Track turn off there were the walkers slipping and slying down a high embankment through the guava, which caused Woodswrecker to take a tumble.
After everyone had taken a breather at the circle check the on-on’s were reverse kind of like snakes and ladders, clever hares eh!  Soon everyone was back onto the main road heading home. A relatively short but eventful hash, cheers to the guys!!
When all had made it back the refreshments came out which included a Last Hash cake for Rhesus Andy and Scarface, well thetas what they say!!!  To bad Scarface was a No Show.  Farewell, and all the best to the both of you along with Little Miss Naughty and Welsh Rabbit.
The circle was drawn and one sorry oh so sorry sole was invited in who soon had his name changed from Tom to Dogs Balls, we know you’ll always have a wail of a time from now on at the kennels, welcome to Ascension Hash House Harriers.
Rhesus Andy had to do the likely thing as a final hash tradition of burning his boots, it took our arsonist well a new one I’m sure probably Chicken Licker’s replacement you know who you are, no time at all to get the fire started.  The party continued and the fire kept burning whilst Fugitive and Short n’ Sweet collected the wood with assistance from Princess Diary, it seemed she did well her reward was toasted marshmallows presented on a lance by that Tonic Guy called Yeti.  The night was beautiful with the full moon shinning upon us, 100 watt and Mildew could not resist but to make a second appearance after attending another event and some of us even got to play hide and go seek.
