Ascension : New's From St.Mary's
Submitted by The Islander (Nathan Prince) 16.06.2005 (Article Archived on 30.06.2005)

When Jesus found that his followers was increasing in numbers he chose twelve of them to share his work.

When Jesus found that his followers was increasing in numbers he chose twelve of them to share his work.

There is a lesson we can learn from what Jesus did and that is to share our work load when we are finding it difficult to cope. It is so easy to take on more and more work only to find that time is not on our side.  If only we had given thought at the time to share the work with other people our task would have been made that  much easier.

If you was in the Saints Club over the week end one would have noticed immediately that a lot of the work was shared between a number of people and was not just left to the organisers of the fund raising event for St. Mary's Church.  The same applied to the Ascension Day Fair Committee, if it had not delegated some of its responsibilities to other people then the fair would not have been such a success as it was.

Jesus shared his work  and we should try and do the same.

Have a pleasant week.
